We are a business that has grown from a need within the Global Mobility space to offer short term property to the corporate market across the continent of Africa. Our clients are large multi-national companies who are expanding their businesses into Africa.
MyResidence.Africa is offering a position in a new role in our Africa Team as our business grows.
We are wanting to expand our direct client base and require a focused incumbent to identify and follow our sales pipeline who will also work with the current Business Development Manager to take MyResidence to the next level.

The successful candidate will be responsible to grow the client list. You will be engaging with corporate business sending assignees across Africa, as well as developing relationships with travel managers across Africa. You will be instrumental in developing the sales pipeline and implementing it. The sales is focusing on growing our clients, rather than selling bed-nights which we consider part of operational fulfilment.

  • Influence our clients to travel to new destinations and have MyResidence arrange their events and retreats
  • Effectively prioritize and balance outbound and inbound sales activities
  • Respond to all incoming leads, questions, and comments in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Follow up with clients and successfully move them through the sales pipeline
  • Record all client information and sales activity into our system

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma: Sales, Communications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years professional sales experience; association with luxury brands, travel sector, or high-end hospitality may be helpful
  • Experience with CRM
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Previous inside sales / customer service responsibility highly desired
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal
  • Operates with a sense of urgency and strives for higher standards
  • Effective time management skills
