Matthew studied a BSc in property at the University of Cape Town and continued to do a postgraduate honours in Property.

Matthew is our operations assistant and is responsible for growing our property portfolio on the continent of Africa which is currently over 11,000 rooms.  He will also be refining our guest liaison role, ensuring that our guests receive the requisite attention.

Matthew is passionate about sustainability as he feels it is critical for the younger generation to focus on reducing our carbon footprint. He is passionate about the environment and will help push the social agenda. He aligns directly with myresidence’s core values, being Dynamic Reliability, Caring Efficiently & that It’s got to be good for Africa.

Matthew enjoys the outdoors and in his free time enjoys photography and surfing.

“A Chartered Accountant with a passion for property” – says Adam Kane-Smith describing himself.  Kane-Smith is the Business Development Manager of MyResidence.

Adam’s interests surpass the field of temporary service accommodation. Kane-Smith holds roles in other business in the property and associated industries, one being the Manager of a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) for almost 20 years. His expertise in the different industries makes him the perfect candidate in the demanding and competitive industry of temporary service accommodation.

Kane-Smith says that My Residence aims to set the standard in the variety and quality of accommodation offered, the systems and processes in place ensuring regular property vetting and providing comprehensive quotes for clients across all spectrums. Kane-Smith believes that MyResidence will continue to grow exponential over the next three years. The teams aim to add additional technology to their operations to ensure not only a competitive edge but efficiency in the corporate temporary accommodation market in Africa. Thereafter, he hopes that My Residences will add its own stock of executive to the market while it continues to grow its customer base.

Tanja Glatz is of German descent but was born and bred in Cape Town, South Africa. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a post-graduate LLB from Stellenbosch University. She completed her articles and practised as a litigation and criminal litigation attorney for ten years (2009 – 2019).

In 2019, Tanja decided she wanted a drastic change in her life and shifted careers into the global mobility and temporary accommodation world. She owes this shift to her love of building relationships with people.

Her vision and mission for My Residence is for it to be the absolute best on the content. To place the African continent’s service accommodation on the map and at an esteemed level.
