ABOUT US Africa is a wonderful continent with so much to offer, however it can be challenging when looking for executive level serviced apartments. This is where my/residence has placed itself. We are an African company, providing vetted apartments that will suit expatriates temporary accommodation needs, from project teams through to executive level. We have a network of vetting agents across the continent who are constantly sourcing and vetting apartments. We are confident all our guests will have an experience that meets their needs. Our mission is to remove the complexity and anxiety around finding a place to stay for a short term assignment - anywhere from 2 weeks to six months - which is clean, serviced, secure and provides more than a simple hotel room. We want our guests to be able to invite friends or colleagues around for dinner in an apartment, rather than meeting them at a restaurant or hotel - after all, a couple of months is a long time to stay in the same hotel room. HISTORY MyResidence.Africa Limited was incorporated in Mauritius early in 2019. It is a business born out of the Relocation Africa Group, the premier relocation and immigration service provider for the African region, and out of the realisation that the temporary accommodation agency market was under-serviced on the African continent. The business was conceptualised by Andrew and Rene Stegmann who spent nearly a year exploring and defining the opportunity with Adam Kane-Smith before the business was registered. Expatriate executives and assignees who are not familiar with working in Africa find the prospect of an assignment in Africa daunting. Equally employers feel an obligation to offer accommodation that is comfortable, safe and convenient for their staff members who are spending time away from home. Using the decades of experience within the group and our network of agents in over 50 cities in more than 30 African countries MyResidence has built what is unquestionably the biggest portfolio of independently vetted executive quality temporary accommodation offerings on the continent. Our proprietary in-house systems, built using industry experience and refined over the years, provides us with the ability to offer detailed quotes, with up-to-date images of the accommodation offered, very efficiently. Our portfolio has been built over the three years of our existence through the hard work of our team and the refinement of our two-tiered vetting processes. More than that we offer a professional, efficient and personalised service which aims to eliminate any uncertainty about the most important part of an employee’s experience of the city they need to be in for their work assignment.
